CHRIS AARON

Co-Founding Partner

Mr. Aaron brings 10+ years of public real estate and private institutional real estate experience.

Prior to co-founding CAP Multifamily, Mr. Aaron served as CFO of Oaxaca Interests, LLC, a boutique real estate private equity firm in Dallas, TX. In that role, he was responsible for the financial strategy of the company and its numerous real estate investments.  

Prior to Oaxaca, Mr. Aaron was a Vice President at Mill Creek Residential, one of the nation’s largest and most respectable multi-family developers focusing on large Class-A multifamily developments in both high barrier and high growth markets. In his capacity, he assisted in raising over $600 million of equity capital and helped lead the platform’s portfolio management for its primary institutional investor.

Before Mill Creek, he spent time at the Howard Hughes Corporation, a large ($6.0B) public real estate developer where he focused on financial management for the Company’s investments in New Orleans, LA and Summerlin, NV. Mr. Aaron began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP (PwC) in the Transaction Services group where he helped clients access the public markets (debt and equity) and assisted in technical accounting matters.

Mr. Aaron graduated with a BS in Human and Organization Development from Vanderbilt University and received a MAcc from the University of Southern California.

CHAD PATTON

Co-Founding Partner

Mr. Patton has more than 25 years of work experience in private equity and financial services.  Mr. Patton served as a Managing Director/Partner at Lone Star U.S. Acquisitions from 2007 to 2013 and oversaw all financial services related investments, including the acquisition of over $12 billion in distressed residential mortgages post-crises and the founding and growth of one of the largest non-bank mortgage companies in the nation, Caliber Home Loans LLC.  During the last decade he has served in the C-suite at 3 of the top 20 residential mortgage banks in the country as well as focused on single family rental and small multifamily acquisition and asset management. 

Prior to Lone Star, Mr. Patton was a Vice President in Bank of America Securities’ financial institutions investment banking practice where he managed transactions involving M&A, equity and debt offerings. 

Mr. Patton has a BA in Economics with Finance Applications from Southern Methodist University as well as an MBA from SMU’s Cox School of Business.
